Wine Review: This clear and bright straw-colored Chardonnay from Western Australia opens with an inviting lemon, pineapple, and crushed shells bouquet with hints of vanilla crème and apricot. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a gentle oak influenced golden delicious apple with notes of pineapple and ginger. We also detected hints of saline, lemon, and spice. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard would pair nicely with Emeril's kicked up crab cakes or with trout almondine. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Aromatic and expressive nose detailed through a line of pear, grilled lemon, and grapefruit. Nougat, brioche, cinnamon, nutmeg, fennel seed, samphire, jalapeno, and chamomile sit in the background, providing subtle complexity. Tightly coiled and woven palate delicately layered with a diligently textured mid palate. There is a salty-brine thread like throughout the palate. Concentrated white nectarine, pear and lemon are the key hallmark primary fruits, subtle toasted hazelnuts underpinned by a finite sherbet acid thread with a mineral acid line.
