Wine Review: This dark red colored blend from Long Island opens with a black cherry and cedar bouquet with hints of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is a graphite and tart red plum blend with notes of cedar and black tea. I also detected some hints of black cherry. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. This Meritage would pair well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
