Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant red currant and red plum bouquet with a hint of orange zest. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is savory, yet it has a silky feel. The flavor profile is a spiced red plum, red currant, and cinnamon blend with notes of black pepper, dried apricot, and oak. The finish is dry and its gentle fine tannins and flavors drift away nicely. We would decant this Zin to settle it down and then pair it with Great Hill blue cheese or with tangerine garlic chicken.
