Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel from Moon Mountain opens with a craisin and loganberry bouquet with hints of black raspberry and red licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with moderate plus acidity. The mouthfeel is fruit forward, balanced, bright and juicy. The flavor profile is stewed red plum, stony minerality and herbal tea blend. We also detected hints of chalky clay and tobacco. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with veal medallions. Enjoy - KWGTP

Flavors: Dark cherry, blackberry, and gravel.
