Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane is Excellent! It opens with a mild blackberry and boysenberry bouquet with a hint of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth and polished. The flavor profile is a very tasty gentle blackberry and graphite blend with notes of black licorice and blueberry. I also detected hints of black plum and menthol. The finish is dry and its well-managed fine tannins and fruit flavors drift away nicely. This Zin would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
