Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane is Excellent. It opens with a gentle black raspberry and mild saddle leather bouquet with hints of red licorice, milk chocolate, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth, seamless, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a black plum and stony minerality blend with notes of acai berry and green tea. We also detected hints of black currant and cola. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate polished and dusty tannins linger for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with a cassoulet or with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
