Wine Review: This translucent and dark red colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane is excellent. It opens with a fragrant and brambly ripe red raspberry and wintergreen bouquet with hints of red licorice and wildflowers. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is fantastic. Very smooth, clean, round, and suave for a Zin. The flavor profile is a fruit forward raspberry and oolong tea blend with notes of cola and black pepper. We also detected hints of tobacco, dried strawberry, and red plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and gentle tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this impressive and very food friendly Zin with veal medallions. Enjoy - KWGTP
