Wine Review: This pitch black colored wine from Argentina opens with a mild blackberry bouquet with a hint of fig. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a gentle mineral infused mild blackberry with hints of black cherry. I also detected a hint of fig. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This wine would pair well with grilled steak tips. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: An immediate aromatic mélange of dark plums, ripe briar fruits, rich soil, and fir trees present themselves on the nose —in essence, a high mountain cooking pit of smoked fruit. On the palate, similar dark fruits carry through and are complemented by flavors of dried fruit, fig compote and marmalade. Textured on the finish, a long chain of tannins lingers for what seems to be endless with a hint of fresh tartness.
