Wine Review: This clear white gold colored Chardonnay from Lombardi opens with a fragrant pineapple and poached Bosc pear bouquet with hints of light oak, gardenia, and lemon zest. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright, zesty, and crisp. The flavor profile is pineapple and chalky minerality blend with notes of lemon verbena, lime zest, and gentle oak. We also detected hints of white pepper, green tea, and white peach pit. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. We would pair this Chard with Emeril’s kicked up crab cakes or seared scallops. Enjoy – KWGTP
