Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Gamay from Morgon opens with an attractive black cherry, cola and strawberry preserves bouquet with hints of lavender and earth. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with slightly elevated acidity. The flavor profile is a spicy red plum and mild raspberry blend with notes of integrated minerality, dark coffee and gentle oak. We also detected hints of cinnamon and black cherry towards the end. The finish is dry and its fine-grained medium tannins drift away nicely. This cru-level Beaujolais is food friendly and would pair well with beef bourguignon or beef brisket burger. Enjoy - Ken, Jeoff, Joe & Mark
