Wine Review: Louis Roederer has turned up their game and the newest release of the Brut Premier is spectacular. This pale straw Champagne is chocked full of notes of toasted almonds, baked apples, hints of quince, chamomile, kumquats, and Granny Smith apples on the finish. The reserve wines that are used are really showing through and well complimented by the younger wines. One of the best releases yet. It would pair well with fresh Island Creek oysters. - Nicolay

Winemaker Notes: The wine has a fresh festive finesse. In the mouth, the wine has structure, richness and length. It is a full, complex wine that is both modern and powerful, whilst remaining a great classic. Brut Premier can be served for many occasions. It is ideal as an aperitif and as a splendid accompaniment to fine cuisine such as shellfish or terrine of foie gras with almond jelly.
