Wine Review: This barely off-dry German Riesling from the Pfaltz region is a brilliant straw color, with aromas of honeysuckle, butterscotch, honeydew melon, nectarine, and flint. On the palate I found it medium-plus bodied with medium-plus acidity and a velvety mouthfeel. It's bright, mouthwatering, balanced, and clean. There are flavors of lemon, ash, green apple, and chalky minerality along with notes of nectarine and honeydew. The finish is refreshing as the acidity lingers for a while. Serve chilled with grilled fish tacos. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: This wine is particularly influenced by its origin as it grows on volcanic rock, known as basalt. The soil gives the wine a unique minerality and complexity and ensures optimal freshness when young but has excellent aging potential.
