Wine Review: This white gold colored Chenin Blanc from Lussier opens with a chamomile tea and light lemon verbena bouquet with a hints of honey, pear, and white peach. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, mouthcoating, and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a chamomile tea and juicy lime blend with notes of quince and stony minerality. We also detected hint of toasty oak, mango and honeydew melon. The finish is dry, and flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chenin with fish tacos with lime juice, pan-seared red snapper, or with spicy Asian food.
