Wine Review: This clear and straw-colored Chardonnay from MacRostie opens with a white floral and guava bouquet with hints of bartlett pear, pineapple, and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean, and fresh. The flavor profile is spiced poached pear and mild stone dust blend with notes of steeped green tea, nutmeg, and almond. We also detected hints of oak, eggnog, tangerine, and quince. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. We would pair this Chard with Southern fried chicken with eggnog waffles or with crabcakes. Enjoy - Ken & Joe
