Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from MacRostie opens with a toasted coconut and pineapple bouquet with hints of poached pear and marzipan. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, slightly viscous, and rich. The flavor profile is an oak influenced toasted coconut and poached pear blend with notes of marzipan and golden delicious apple. I also detected hints of buttered Italian bread and a touch of butterscotch. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Chard with lobster bisque with drizzled sherry. Enjoy - Ken
