Wine Review: This clear and medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Maison Perron de Mypont opens with a pomegranate and black currant bouquet with hints of red plum, spice, and pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is pretty layered, featuring mild loam and black raspberry tea with notes of stewed red plum and graphite. We also detected hints of red licorice, black pepper, rhubarb, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger and last for a while. We would pair this Pinot Noir with a cassoulet. Enjoy - Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: Perron de Mypont Pinot Noir is sourced from selected vineyard parcels in the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. The wine shows a delicate red berry aroma, with a fine and focused texture on the palate. It is a pure and classic expression of Pinot Noir from its home in Burgundy.
