Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and light red colored red blend wine from Martha Stoumen is intended to be consumed slightly chilled. It opens with a red cherry and smoke bouquet with hints of cedar, sandalwood, and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, clean, and gentle. The flavor profile is red plum and saline blend with notes of cinnamon and red raspberry. We also detected hints of beef stick, Swedish fish, and amaro. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and faint tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this red blend with grilled pork chop or a turkey pot pie. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: We return to Benchlands time and time again. Its candy fruit core is balanced with rootiness like cocoa and sarsaparilla for a wine that's just singing right now. If we ever dubbed a wine as "staff pick," this would take the prize for just about every team member.
