Wine Review: This hay-colored wine from Martha Stoumen is very light on its feet for a Roussanne and Marsanne based blend. It opens with a lemon peel and nectarine bouquet with hints of honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and very lithe. The flavor profile is a tasty lemon verbena, graded ginger, and lime zest blend with notes of yellow grapefruit pith and juniper berries. I also detected hints of nectarine pit and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. This wine is a perfect beach wine to serve slightly chilled. With food, pair it with a chicken francese with a lemon butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is always a fun wine to make. This wine is full of summer flavors, slightly salty, and extremely drinkable. A splash of old-vine dry farmed Colombard adds lift to this lemon-forward, refreshingly complex blend.
