Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and hay colored Chenin Blanc based wine from Martha Stoumen opens with a fragrant and attractive Bartlett pear and lychee bouquet with hints of acacia and apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, slightly viscous, and fresh. The flavor profile is a Juicy Fruit gum and butterscotch blend with notes of pear and lychee. We also detected hints of saline, lemon pith, and green apple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would serve this white blend slightly chilled and pair it with parchment paper poached haddock or cod this summer. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Chenin-dominant field blend is all about texture, waxiness, and sensuality. Expect gentle aromas of creamed honey and a looooong finish. Out to the Meadow 2024 asks us to sit with it a while and let the time pass.
