Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a matchstick and blackberry bouquet with hints of Tia Maria coffee liqueur and orange zest. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, silky, and well-balanced. The flavor profile is a stony mineral and mild red plum blend with notes of dried herbs and black cherry. We also detected hints of black pepper, black tea, and mushrooms in the mix. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins are nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with Forge & Vine’s Poutine (shredded short rib, brown gravy, & maple brook farm cheese curd) Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Beautifully detailed aromas of summer ripened Santa Rosa plum, lilac blossom, vanilla custard and dried California coastal sagebrush define the 2019 Jack's Cabin Zinfandel. There is an incredible intensity on the palate of brilliant candied red fruits and minerality that is nearly tamed by the plush texture, freshness and great focus of this delicious wine. Please enjoy over the next 6-8 years.
