Wine Review: This deep ruby colored blend from Rockpile opens with a mild peach and cinnamon bouquet with a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and nicely balanced with well-integrated medium acidity. The flavor profile is a very tasty black plum and chocolate blend with notes of minerality. I also detected hints of cardamom, cinnamon, and a touch of red currant at the very end. The finish is dry, and its well-managed dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. I would pair this impressive wine with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Petite Sirah is the dominant varietal in our 2019 Madrone Spring, and the effusive candied blue fruit on the nose is the telltale indicator. There is also a beautiful floral edge to the aromatic profile of ground fresh lavender and violet. The exotic fruit profile persists on the palate but then deepens with a more serious notes of espresso grounds, leather, dried meats, and dark earthen tones.
