Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Mauritson opens with an inviting blackberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of tobacco leaf, lilac, and saddle leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, seamless, and fresh. The flavor profile is a tasty black plum and blueberry blend with notes of cedar, spice, and boysenberry. We also detected hints of cola, chocolate, and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined medium tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
