Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Mauritson opens with a cassis and mild tobacco bouquet with hints of graphite, black cherry-cola, and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, super smooth, seamless, crisp, and lush. The flavor profile is a blackberry and graphite blend with notes of black pepper and oak. We also detected hints of blueberry, black tea, and black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins are sustained for a very long time. We would pair this Cab with porterhouse with bearnaise sauce and chocolate cake. Enjoy - KWGTP
