Wine Review: This inky purple colored Petite Sirah based wine from the Rockpile region in California opens with a shy graphite and chocolate bouquet with hints of forest floor and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, lively, mouthwatering, and dense. The flavor profile is a fruit forward red plum and red licorice blend with notes of red raspberry and herb tea. We also detected hints of toasty oak and a lingering touch of nutmeg.
