Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from the Chehalem Mountains in Oregon opens with a lemon tea and jasmine bouquet with hints of ginger ale. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a mild bosc pear and ginger ale blend with notes of cashew and oak. I also detected hints of hazelnuts, green apple, and lime zest. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity subtly fade away. I would pair this food friendly Chard with steamed clams with drawn butter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is a sleek and focused wine, smooth on entry and with exceptional length. It's understated with a quiet, polished presence. There are lovely aromas of fresh Meyer lemon zest, crisp yellow apple, and fragrant jasmine blossom. These aromas carry through onto the palate, lingering seemingly forever. This wine is perfectly lovely today and has a long, satisfying life ahead of it.
