Wine Review: This clear and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from McCollum Heritage in Oregon opens with a black plum and loam bouquet with hints of strawberry, oak, and red licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a raspberry tea and tart black plum blend with notes of stony minerality and black pepper. I also detected hints of pomegranate and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, fresh acidity, and fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot with lamb lollipops. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fresh, juicy aromas on this wine - black cherry, red plum, ripe strawberry. Below those fruit tones are darker notes of cocoa and lavender, hiding just under the surface. The palate is silky smooth and well balanced. This wine will age comfortably for many years.
