Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Australia opens with a pleasant nose of green apple, mild white grapefruit, vanilla, oak and a hint of honey. On the palate, it is medium bodied, pleasantly acidic and smooth. This is a Sauvignon Blanc lovers’ Chardonnay. It features flavors of light lemon, peach, vanilla and oak. The finish is crisp, refreshing and fades away nicely. We would this good value Chard with a lobster roll. – Karen & Stuart
Winemaker Notes: “The Plan" Chardonnay is pale yellow to straw colored. It opens with a rich stone fruit and lychee bouquet with a touch of fresh citrus that is also complemented with subtle notes of vanilla and coconut. On the palate, it is soft, smooth and creamy with tropical fruit flavors like melon and a hint of vanilla oak. A great accompaniment to most food, particularly creamy pasta and succulent roast chicken dishes.
