Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Merriam opens with a red plum, cinnamon, clove and strawberry licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a spiced red plum and clove blend with notes of fine grained minerality and wild strawberry. I also detected a hint of cinnamon, black tea and red raspberry. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and mild dusty tannins drift away nicely. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with a roasted tenderloin of beef. Enjoy - Ken
