Wine Review: This white gold colored Fume Blanc from Merriam opens with a light lemon and faint vanilla bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round and very smooth. The flavor profile is light Meyer lemon flan and green tea blend with notes of and green apple and honeydew melon. I also detected hints of lychee and pineapple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Fume Blanc with baked halibut. Enjoy - Ken
