Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Merriam opens with a blueberry and red plum bouquet with hints of marjoram, wild strawberry and earth tones. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is red plum and red currant blend with hints of red raspberry, craisin and tomato. The finish is dry and its refined tannins fade away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing the Cab Franc with a roasted pork loin or roasted pheasant. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The color graduates from dark purple to magenta along the edge. This wine has an elegant fragrance of warm berry pie, black currant and baking spices. Notes of black cherry, vanilla and red plum on the palate. Structured tannins, youthful acidity and a long lingering finish.
