Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Russian River Valley opens with a Kiwi shoe polish and blackberry bouquet with a hint of cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with notes of medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and approachable. The flavor profile is stewed black plum and black currant blend with notes of black cherry and oolong tea. I also detected hints of graphite, anise, and spice. The finish is dry, and its flavors and dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. I would pair this Cab with a juicy bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A full-bodied Cabernet with notes of black fruit, chocolate, and red plum on the nose. Swirls of nutmeg, raspberry and red bell pepper sit nicely on the palate complemented by undertones of vanilla and cherry on the finish.
