Wine Review: This cloudy and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Merriam opens with a boysenberry and menthol bouquet with hints of red plum and saddle leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is juicy spiced red plum and stone dust blend with notes of red currant and oak. We also detected hints of tobacco, red licorice, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins linger nicely. We would pair this Cab blend with grilled hanger steak or with a prime rib. Enjoy - KWGTP
