Wine Review: This hazy and deep ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Merriam opens with a black currant and eucalyptus bouquet with hints of dark chocolate, tobacco, and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, polished, and very approachable. The flavor profile is juicy black plum and stone dust blend with notes of lingonberry and tobacco. We also detected hints of licorice and blueberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and very dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. We would decant this Cab for a while before pairing it with grilled hanger steak or a porterhouse steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
