Wine Review: This hazy and dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Merriam opens with a black currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of red licorice, rose, and leather. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, fresh and fruit forward. The flavor profile is cassis and stone dust blend with notes of tobacco and black cherry. We also detected hints of red plum, root beer, spice, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its moderate dusty tannins linger nicely. We would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with veal chop or a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
