Wine Review: This clear medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merriam opens with a loam and elderberry bouquet with hints of black tea, orange peel, lilac, and peonies. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth and sturdy. The flavor profile is graphite influenced spiced black plum and oak blend with notes of black tea and black cherry-cola. We also detected hints of black licorice and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild and polished tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this rustic styled Pinot with venison stew or with a blue cheeseburger. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Diana's Estate Pinot Noir revolutionizes Pinot Noir with the elegance of a European style and the terroir of California’s Russian River Valley. At the base, this pretty ruby wine with piquant notes of cranberry, clove, and rhubarb continues to evolve until your last sip. A bright expression of our blended estate pinot noir that pairs with any red sauce and pasta, or on its own as a summertime red.
