Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Merriam opens with a red raspberry pie and craisin bouquet with hints of pomegranate and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, polished, and approachable. The flavor profile is spiced red plum and mild pomegranate blend with notes of cola, vanilla, and oak. We also detected hints of black tea and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins stick around for quite a while. This wine really smooths out even more with a little aeration. So, we would decent this Pinot Noir briefly and then pair it with lamb lollipops or a cedar plank salmon. Enjoy - KWGTP
