Wine Review: This midnight black colored Petite Sirah from Mettler opens with an inviting black raspberry bouquet with hints of black cherry and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. It is also balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild plum with notes of black raspberry, espresso and anise. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are a bit extended. The Panel suggested pairing this Petite Sirah with a juicy burger or steak frites. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The Mettler 2017 Petite Sirah exudes elegance and grace. True to its varietal heritage, the color is opaque and deep purple. Soft aromas of dark berries, plum and oak are sultry and inviting. As it unfolds on the palate, it delivers a beautiful swirl of intense and concentrated fruit flavors with notes of blueberry, plum, violet and dark honey. Well-integrated tannins create a bold backdrop for its lush texture and carry the flavors through to a lingering finish.
