Wine Review: With a pale straw color, this Chardonnay from Monterrey packs inviting aromas of burned sandalwood, musk and nutmeg. On the palate, the wine is medium in body and the flavor profile is a base of braised pear, citrus and stone fruits with touches of caramel, maple walnut scone and star anise. It is a bit of a chameleon in the mouth and each sip brings something new and enjoyable. The Chard would pair well with cold-water oysters from Maine or Prince Edward Island. - Jeoff
