Wine Review: Mont Marcal has been setting the benchmark for Cava and the 2017 "Brut Reserva" is another high mark. It's a mix of high and low notes. The high notes are the Meyer lemon and gooseberries, while the low notes consist of toasted Challah and the slightest amount of roasted oats. This would pair well with smoked cod. - Nicolay

Winemaker Notes: Produced from Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay grapes in a classically dry style. Finely beaded texture with doughy complexity and excellent fruit on the dry finish. Zesty aromas of citrus and ripe yellow fruits, like a gently spiced pear set in pastry.
