Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Moret Brealynn opens with a black cherry and mild strawberry bouquet with hints of pecans, vanilla, and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is black raspberry and black plum with notes of crushed stone minerality and oak. We also detected some of red licorice and pomegranate mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins linger and last for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with wild boar ragu or a Greek lamb burger with tzatziki sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This year's Stray Dog blend hails from three fabulous vineyards from the Central Coast. One vineyard from Sta Rita Hills and two other vineyards from the Santa Lucia Highlands. This wine is dark in plum and chocolate characteristics on the nose followed by a full, balanced mouthfeel and lingering finish. This wine benefits stray animals through both local and national humane societies.
