Wine Review: This dark ruby colored blend from Mount Peak opens with a red raspberry and red currant bouquet with a hint of pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and red currant blend with notes of gentle oak and minerality. I also detected a touch of pomegranate and sage mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins show very good length. This wine would pair well with duck confit or short ribs. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Gravity Red Blend is named for a remote, hard-to-reach block on one of the lowest slopes of the Monte Rosso Vineyard. This dark, dense wine is a blend of six varietals led by Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel that vividly expresses the power and depth of a great mountain vineyard. It is filled with intense fruit flavors that range from boysenberry and blueberry jam to blackberry and fig, woven through with lovely accents of black truffle and dusty cocoa that create a full-bodied, luscious mouthfeel.
