Wine Review: This clear and brilliant medium straw colored white blend from Mourchon in Côtes du Rhône is a very good value. It opens with a mild Anjou pear and honeysuckle bouquet with hints of almond and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and slightly viscous with nice freshness. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and Anjou pear blend with notes of green tea and light lime. We also detected hints of almond and saline. The finish is dry refreshing. We would pair this very versatile and food friendly white blend with Cod en Papillote (Parchment paper wrapped cod with vegetables and zesty white wine) Enjoy - Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: This wine has a pale and delicate straw-colored hue with elegant floral aromas of white blossom and a hint of stone fruit and fresh citrus zest. Notes of peach and pear with a touch of melon and quince are enveloped in a pleasingly middle-weight palate which ends dry and crisp on the finish. This fresh and well-balanced wine is a pleasure to drink on its own or is equally delicious with a range of foods including seafood, shellfish, olives, and goat cheese.
