Wine Review: This dark ruby colored blend from Washington State is very good. It opens with a blueberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of walnut. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a mineral infused coffee and black currant blend with hints of cranberry and cinnamon. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger nicely. The Panel thought this was initially a little tight right now. So we suggest swirling it a bit in the glass in the near term and pairing it with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Fresh blackberries, plum skin and fresh juniper berries intermixed with dried strawberry and sandalwood. Swirling brings up ripe black currants, baking spice and crème de cassis. The palate is dense and polished with superfine tannins and great length. It's mouthwateringly fresh with ripe but restrained fruit and terrific presence. Pairs well with any red meat on the grill, pork tenderloin, heavy cheeses and grilled vegetables.
