Wine Review: This pale white gold colored Gewürztraminer from Navarro opens with a very inviting ripe lychee bouquet with hints of lemon zest, ginger and white florals. On the palate, this wine has a round mouthfeel and is medium bodied with plus acidity. The flavor profile is a very tasty ripe lychee, lemon and white pepper blend with notes of nicely integrated minerality and spice. We also detected some hints of pineapple and nectarine pit towards the end. The finish is dry and its ripe flavors are nicely extended. This Gewürz certainly is food friendly. Pair it with Asian dishes, a Zuni Café roasted chicken or with turkey dowsed in gravy. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
