Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Riesling from Nik Weis opens with a Vaseline and Johnson’s baby powder bouquet with hints of pineapple and bee’s wax. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is pleasantly sweet, creamy, plush, and slightly mouthwatering. The flavor profile is dried pineapple and lime blend with notes of lemon and mild sweet tea. We also detected hints of tangerine, and honey. The finish is sweet, and its flavors linger for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Riesling with macaroon cookies, sharp cheddar cheese, or on its own. Enjoy – KWGTP
