Wine Review: This white gold colored Riesling from Nik Weis opens with a fresh floral and lemon bouquet with hints of green melon. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with bright acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, bright, seamless, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is saline, Anjou pear and crushed stone blend with notes of almonds and lime. We also picked up a touch of ginger mixed in. The finish is bone dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would serve this refreshing Riesling with broiled bay scallops.
