Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa is a very good. It opens with an appealing ripe citrus bouquet along with some floral notes and a hint of ripe cantaloupe. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, fresh and bright. The flavor profile features pink grapefruit, lemon and light pineapple with notes of apricots and tangerine. I also picked up some hints of light thyme and minerality. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors pleasantly linger. I would pair this South African Sauvignon Blanc with some grilled scallops wrapped in bacon. – Joe

Winemaker Notes: A flavor kaleidoscope of rosy strawberry and raspberry parfait with vibrant nasturtium and naartjie skin. A "wallop" of herbaceous coriander, rocket and nettles is the perfect foil for creamy dessert peach and nutty almond. Tasted with wild mushroom risotto and awakens a desire for ostrich and pecorino to impress.
