Wine Review: This brilliantly ruby colored wine opens with a very ripe mulberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and very juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe and concentrated red raspberry with notes of spice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are noticeable and drift along nicely. We would pair this Zin with barbecue grilled short ribs. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Novy Papera Vineyard Zinfandel is bigger and a bit more earthy than previous Papera vintages, reminding us a bit more of a Chateauneuf-du-Pape. With currant and black cherry flavors on the nose, but hints of tar, oak, and bramble on the palate, and then good levels of natural acidity, this is a Zinfandel that will truly benefit from a couple of years of age.
