Wine Review: This red colored Merlot opens with a pleasant black cherry bouquet with hints of red plum and red currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty cherry with notes of plum and light oak. We also detected hints of red currant and cranberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins show nice length. The Panel suggested pairing this very nice Merlot with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2017 is full of aromatics reminiscent of fresh plums with hints of green olives and vanilla. Flavorful, bright, and full bodied. I have opened bottles of Ravenswood Sangiacomo Merlot with 20 years of age, which continue to show beautifully and are more than satisfying to drink.
