Wine Review: This dark red colored Mataro from Once and Future is very good. It opens with a red currant and craisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a graphite and black plum blend with notes of oak, blackberry and black tea. I also detected a hint of red currant. The finish is dry and its tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. This Mataro would pair well with a marinated grilled skirt steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Luscious, ripe raspberries and plums with hints of smoke, earth and spice. This may be the best, most pleasing Mataro to date. - Joel
